Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) project

The South Texas Environmental Institute (STEI) of Texas A&M University - Kingsville (TAMUK) will lead an effort for the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) to assess the water quality of eleven segments in Basin Groups D & E (Segments 1427, 1803A, 1803B, 1806A, 1815, 1906, 1908, 1913, 2104, 2107 and 2113). The segments are listed on the 2000 State Of Texas Clean Water Act 303(d) list as impaired due to dissolved oxygen and bacteria. Regarding Bacteria Impairments, this project will result in either de-listing or establishing Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL's) for the given constituent and the impairment. The segments are located within the Colorado, Guadalupe, San Antonio and Nueces River Basins.
